Emmerdale star Amelia Spencer ‘ready for stint on rival soap’ after heartbreaking ax | Television and radio | Showbiz and television

Emmerdale’s Daisy Campbell could be heading to a rival soap after her surprising departure from the show.

The star became a household name as Amelia Spencer in the ITV soap, making her debut in 2011. Over the years, she has been at the center of many dramatic storylines.

Currently, his character is embroiled with villainous Tom King (James Chase), who previously abused his wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), a storyline that saw Belle eventually leave him.

However, in a turnaround last October, Emmerdale producers decided to write Amelia out, a decision that left 21-year-old Daisy reeling from the decision. She told the Mirror: ‘It wasn’t my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first.”

Daisy expressed her feelings about the release: “Being in Emmerdale It’s all I’ve ever known. I spent my entire childhood growing up on the soap opera and it was intimidating,” reports Leeds live.

However, she confirmed that Amelia would not meet a fatal end, saying: “I’m glad the door remains open. But I can’t say too much about how she leaves.”

A PR expert has since highlighted the period as an “exciting next chapter in her career” and hinted that Daisy could soon land a role in another soap. Dom Aldworth, head of brand marketing at Slingo, suggested the move to another British soap could be a natural progression for Amelia.

He said: “Moving to another British soap is a natural fit, especially if it wants to continue building on the fan base it has grown. He suggested Hollyoaks as an ideal choice due to its “youthful” nature and “high-energy storylines would give him room to delve into a bolder, more complex role”, which would allow him to explore a more bold and more complex.

He also mentioned Coronation Street as a potential option, specifying: “Coronation Street“could be another great option, letting her join an iconic family or bringing new drama to the cobbles.”

He further suggested EastEnders as a possibility, where Amelia could delve into hard-hitting social issues and emotional narratives. He added: “Or, she could even bring her intensity to ‘EastEnders“, where it could further explore the hard-hitting social issues and emotional narratives the series is known for.”

However, Dom hasn’t ruled out the possibility of Amelia walking away from soap operas altogether. He noted, “Maybe take up drama series or even try his hand at theater to show new facets of his talent.”

Emmerdale broadcast weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7:30 p.m.
