Shots fired at Woodside cinema, customers inside: police – CP24

Patrons were inside a movie theater when a suspect fired bullets at the doors of the business Saturday evening, police said.

Police said reports of a shooting at the Woodside Cinema, near Sandhurst Circle and McCowan Road, came in at 10:30 p.m.

There were moviegoers inside the theater at the time, but police say no injuries were reported.

Photos captured by CP24 show at least seven suspected bullet marks on the theater’s glass front doors, as well as additional damage to the building’s door.

It’s unclear if all of the damage came from Saturday night’s alleged shooting.

Earlier this month, the cinema hall was evacuated due to a fire in its kiosk.

At the time, police told CTV News Toronto that the fire was started by two unknown suspects who entered the theater and lit an unknown package, prompting the evacuation.

No injuries were reported.
