Hot off the presses, here is my Associated Press Top 25 poll this week. (The full poll will be released Sunday afternoon):

TEAM PREV.

1. Oregon 1

2. Ohio State 2

3.Texas 5

4. Pennsylvania State 6

5. Indiana 7

6.Tennessee 8

7. BYU 10

8. Notre Dame 9

9. Boise State 11

10.Alabama 13

11. SKU 12

12. Mississippi 15

13. Georgia 4

14. Army 14

15.Miami 3

16. Texas A&M 16

17. Washington State 19

18.Colorado 21

19.Missouri 22

20. Clemson 23

21. Kansas State 25

22. Louisville–

23. South Carolina —

24. LSU 17

25. Tulane —

-Two of the First Four lost, with Miami falling to Georgia Tech, a much bigger upset than Georgia’s loss at Mississippi. Both teams remain in the College Football Playoff race.

— I hope you stayed up late to watch BYU survive a scare in Utah. The Cougars live a charmed life, this time aided by a holding call that was correct.

– Indiana didn’t look great in the second half against Michigan, but gives the Hoosiers a break. They are new as a football power. There’s work to be done before we play Ohio State in two weeks.
