Navy will soon test new anti-ship ballistic missile with a range of 1,000 km

India will test its new anti-ship ballistic missile, which will be capable of hitting targets at a distance of over 1,000 km, which will be a major step towards strengthening the firepower of the defense forces.

The missile test is expected to take place in the coming days, from the country’s eastern coast, senior sources told India Today TV.

The missile system will help the Navy create a robust inventory of ballistic missiles, used by countries engaged in conflicts. The missiles would allow the Navy to hit targets from surface ships and from land-based sites.

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) also manufactures hypersonic missiles for the defense forces.

The move to create a rocket force is aimed at boosting India’s medium-range strike capability, a capability already possessed by neighboring countries Pakistan and China. According to the authorities, the Pralay missiles, currently in mass production, should soon be ready for operation.

These missiles, powered by a solid propellant rocket engine and equipped with other innovative technologies, have a range of 150 to 500 kilometers.

The rocket force project would provide a significant boost to the armed forces’ efforts to develop a strategic rocket force. The forces are working to create a rocket force to counter border threats.
