About the main stars of the Premier League

Launched in 2017, Premier League Primary Stars is the Premier League’s primary education programme.

Funded by the Premier League, via the Premier League Charitable FundThe program uses the appeal of football to help children learn, be active and develop essential life skills.

The free program gives teachers and parents access to over 650 downloadable resources across a range of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curriculum subjects, developed by teachers for teachers and in collaboration with subject experts.

The Choose Respect teaching pack is the latest Premier League primary stars resource available to teachers.

Providing practical, easy-to-use resources aligned with the English and Welsh PSHE curriculum, the resource helps students explore key concepts such as self-respect, respect for others and understanding how their actions affect those around them.

Developed with the Anti-Bullying Alliance, the lessons tackle the root causes of bullying by drawing on ideas from young people.

“The new resource uses children’s passion for football to inspire them to learn,” said Ruth Shaw OBE, chief executive of the Premier League Charitable Fund. “Promoting respect in schools is essential to creating safe and inclusive environments in which children can thrive.
