Wellesley High girls’ swimming and diving team wins 4th straight state title; Playoffs continue for other Raiders teams

Congratulations to the Wellesley High School girls swimming and diving team for earning their fourth consecutive victory. MIAA Division 2 state title during the weekend.

The Raiders dominated the competition with a full roster that accumulated 384 points, far ahead of runner-up North Andover, with 225 points.

In other Wellesley High sports, the girls’ cross country team finished just behind Westford Academy in the category MIAA Divisional Meet at Northfield Mountain, and way ahead of all the other teams.

Sisters Charlotte, Emma and Maddie Tuxbury led the way for Wellesley, finishing 1st, 3rd and 4th individually, respectively.

The boys also ran well, placing 5th in their competition.

Plus, the women’s soccer team is still alive in the playoffs. (at home against Newton North on 11/12 in the round of 16)the field hockey team (in the final four match against Andover in Burlington on 11/13), and the football team (in the round of 16 against Bishop Feehan on 11/15).
