Alexisonfire joined forces with Under oath for a package tour of Australia, which will see North American post-hardcore luminaries play headlining shows next March. The first return to Australia after two years, last visited in February 2023, while the latter returns after almost six months following their 2019 support race with The affliction of friendship. Both bands return to Australia to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking 2004 albums, Attention! for Alexisonfire and They only want security for Under oath. The former was the band’s second studio album, which marked their first Canadian top ten entry (peaking at number six) and their move to Platinum certification in their home country. The latter, meanwhile, was Underoath’s fourth overall and first with longtime singer Spencer Chamberlain and went on to achieve Gold certification by the Recording Industry Assosication of America. As part of their celebration, the album will be performed by the band in its entirety as part of their set each night of this tour.

Alexisonfire – “Accidents”

Both bands will be joined as support acts on all dates by American hardcore band GEL, who will make their Australian debut. The New Jersey punk band released their debut studio album, Only constantin 2023. In a post on their social media pages, Gel thanked Alexisonfire and Underoath for bringing them to Australia for the first time. “We are excited to play together,” they wrote.

Before Alexisonfire returns to Australia, guitarist and vocalist Dallas Green will perform his City and color shows throughout the month of January. This too will be a headlining race – with Green’s City & Color joined by American blues-rockers Nathaniel Rateliff and the night sweats.
