Feed your soul: Doe’s Eat Place

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – When people in Northeast Louisiana talk about going all out for a meal, a few places come to mind. When talking about steak, one place frequently mentioned is Doe’s Eat Place.

Co-owner Ryan Watts says he loves seeing families and others celebrating special occasions, but that’s not the only reason people should go, and he doesn’t want cost to be a factor.

“I mean, if you want to, if you want to order a 5-pound sirloin or a 3-pound porterhouse for yourself, go ahead,” Watts said. “A lot of them are for multiple people. One of the things that Doe’s, the original in Greenville, kind of had a family attitude with it, and that was putting the big steak in the middle, getting a few sides, and everyone could taste it.

Watts also says to let your servers help you too.
