Doha, Qatar: QatarEnergy opened the two-day “Tawteen Forum 2024”, organized to expand the inclusiveness and adaptability of the “Tawteen” program, and to increase its benefits for all participants, which will improve the localization of services and energy sector industries. sector in the State of Qatar.

The forum provides a networking platform between QatarEnergy and companies participating in Tawteen’s Intra-Country Value (ICV) program, and helps explore business opportunities and partnerships towards greater contribution to the local economy.

The forum will also provide opportunities for a better understanding of the enhanced ICV scheme, which includes key changes designed to deliver a wider scope of local contribution to all businesses, and a bonus scheme to reward businesses for their positive contributions in selected areas. ensure an accurate reflection of each company’s impact on Qatar’s economy.

Working sessions during the forum address elements of the Enhanced In-Country Value Program, accreditation, future plans, QatarEnergy’s principles of conduct, best practices for improving suppliers’ ICV, as well as support and investor participation, among other specialized sessions.

More than 4,000 participants take part in the forum, which includes an exhibition of companies participating in the Tawteen program, launched in 2019 with the aim of fostering the development of the local energy sector supply chain and expanding small and medium-sized businesses. companies based in Qatar, in addition to a lasting contribution to value in the country.
