Trump’s new ‘border czar’ tells Democrats to ‘get rid of hell’

Tom Homanpresident-elect Donald TrumpAmerica’s new “border czar” has asked Democratic governors to “get out of the way” as the next administration prepares its mass deportation plans – or face faceless consequences.

“There will be a massive deportation operation because we have a massive and unprecedented (wave) of illegal immigration,” Homan said. said during an appearance on Fox News Friday. “This is not about hate, this is not about discrimination, this is not about being racist, this is about people entering the country illegally, which is a crime.”

“If (Democratic governors) don’t want to help, then get the hell out, because ICE is going to do the job,” Homan added.

Homan served as acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement during part of the first Trump administration. He played a key role in efforts to separate migrant children from their parents at the southern border with Mexico and a contributor to Project 2025.

Asset hired him to become border tsar — a position that does not need Senate confirmation — on Sunday, as the president-elect unveiled the first list of aides and confidants in key positions in his upcoming second administration.

Elsewhere during the Fox News interview, Homan explained that despite the fears of civil rights activists – who cited Trump’s own commitment To trigger the “largest eviction operation” in U.S. history, authorities would not sweep neighborhoods or plan “massive raids.”

“If I lead it, threats to public safety and national security will be the priority. … We have to prioritize limited resources,” he said, before admitting that the effort will be a “big operation.”

Homan also said that if Democratic areas resist these plans, the federal government would marshal the resources needed to implement Trump’s commitments.

“We have a mandate,” he said. “I think the American people just gave President Trump a mandate, that’s what he was elected to do. To secure the border, save lives.

“If you don’t want to help us, get out of the way,” Homan added. “But don’t get in our way, because there will be consequences.”

Later Monday, Homan appeared to go further with his uncompromising language during his appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity.”

Host Sean Hannity proposed a “grace period” during which undocumented immigrants have time to get their affairs in order and leave the country, then eventually be allowed to seek legal return to the United States.

“Criminals and gang members get no grace period,” says Homan replied. “While we prioritize threats to public safety and national security, if you want to self-deport, you should self-deport because, again, we know who you are and we’re going to come to you find.”

He added that criminals and gang members “do not get any favors from this administration” and that “we are coming for you.”

Although he was “very much in favor” of “self-deportation,” he did not say whether there would be a process for people to apply to return to the United States in the future.
