Autumn temperatures return; keep an eye on the Caribbean

The tropical season is coming to an end and yet here we are looking at another place in the Caribbean. Could this be Sara’s training, and where is this going? Fall temperatures return late this week and over the weekend.

Tonight: Mostly clear to partly cloudy with scattered areas of dense fog developing.

Wednesday: Patchy fog early, then becomes partly cloudy and windy with a few showers possible. Morning lows in the 50s and 60s for southeast Georgia and in the 60s for northeast Florida. Afternoon highs in the 70s to low 80s. Breezy northeast wind 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts. A few showers will be possible below the onshore flow, 20 percent.

Workweek: Fall temperatures return late this week and weekend.

Tropics: Increasing the chances of development in the Caribbean. Sara could be training. Environmental conditions appear favorable for development and a tropical depression is likely to form in the next two to three days as the system slowly moves westward into the western Caribbean Sea.

Thereafter, further development is likely as the disturbance meanders over the western Caribbean Sea through the weekend.

The 48-hour training chance is 70% and the 7-day training chance is 90%.
