Josh, 14, loves spending time with family and is a “kind and loving” boy.

Our Grant Me Hope child this week is Josh, 14, who loves the holidays and puts his family first.

According to the Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange, Josh loves Mother’s Day, Easter and Christmas, and he can’t wait to spend them with his future forever family.

According to MARE, some of her favorite foods are pizza, omelets, waffles, ice cream and Chinese food.

“I’m kind, loving, kind and careful,” Josh said.

Josh also enjoys spending time with his friends, playing soccer, basketball, and going to the park.

“Joshua is reserved, but when he gets to know someone, he opens up to them,” explains one of the adults who care about him most. “He always strives to do better and he cares about others. He knows very well the things he is passionate about. He is a funny young man who loves to make people laugh.

Joshua would do well with a single mother, two female parents, or a trauma-informed, experienced mother and father. His new parents should be patient and understanding as Joshua adjusts to his new home. Joshua’s new forever family must be strong advocates for the services that will help him thrive. He prefers pets.
