Regina voters are in the 2020 election

The City of Regina released official election results Thursday afternoon and said nearly 53,000 people voted early or on election day.

According to the City of Regina, a total of 52,949 people voted. The number of voters was estimated at 204,832, a turnout rate of approximately 26 percent.

The city says that’s about 5% more than in 2020.

Of the 52,949 votes, 15,190 came from advance voting, 2,457 from mail-in voting and 1,695 from special voting.

The drive-thru polling station saw 1,369 people vote.


Chad Bachynski will become Regina’s new mayor after being sworn in on Nov. 18, the 38-year-old received 16,508 votes, or 31.5 percent of all mayoral votes.

All services except eight and nine will have new advisors.

The first regular meeting of city council will be held on Dec. 11, according to the City of Regina website.
