How to troubleshoot The Bazaar connection issues

The BazaarThe closed beta of is in progress. Defined as the first free-to-play “hero builder,” Tempo Games’ upcoming release combines elements of deck building and auto-battle into a unique experience – and fans are loving it.

But a beta isn’t a beta without its problems. After all, it’s a trial period. This is when developers start working on adjustments that wouldn’t be possible without public feedback. If you sign up for a test, in exchange for playing a version of the game before everyone else, you understand that this version may not yet be the most stable.

In the case of The Bazaara specific problem keeps cropping up.

At any time during a run, you may encounter the message above, suggesting a connection problem and that the game was unable to connect to the server. But what does this mean?

This may be different on your side or that of the server. And it may or may not have a fix or workaround. Here are some common possibilities and solutions you can try.

Check your Internet connection

This is the first step to try whenever you encounter a connection error. Check if everything is okay on your side. If your connection works fine for anything other than The BazaarThe problem is probably on the server side.

If, however, there is some instability in your connection, try resetting your modem or routeror contact your provider for more information on possible outages in your area.

Check game status

The official website of The Bazaar doesn’t have a status page yet, nor on DownDetector. But there are two ways to find out if other people are having the same problems as you:

When there is a known issue or the server is unstable due to maintenance, you can usually find this information on Twitter. Developers also like to include maintenance duration.

And Discord is the official community channel where players come together to discuss builds, strategies… and bugs. You will probably find someone else with the same problems and a possible solution.

Just try again

Fortunately and unfortunately, this is the most common workaround for the “Problem Connecting” message.

Usually, when the error message appears during a run, clicking “OK” will take you back to the main screen where you can simply click “Resume” and continue your run. You might encounter the same error again shortly after, but this is not always the case. Even if you have to do it several times in a row, it will eventually stick. Most of the time anyway.

If that doesn’t work, you can try a harsher approach and close the game completely, either by clicking the “Exit to Desktop” button or stopping it through Task Manager. Then log in again. Barring more serious instability, this usually does the trick.
