I’m not a fan of salad and very rarely eat it, but even I was able to solve today’s easy Strands puzzle. I admittedly needed a clue to get started, because the theme clue for “Dressing for Lunch” was just a little too far on the cryptic side. Strands is a bit variable in this regard; Some days the themed clues reveal the game, some days they’re only really useful once you’ve used a clue (or found an answer by accident).

It’s a difficult thing to do, though, and in all honesty it was a simple task to find guys like ICEBERG, ROMAINE, WATERCRESS and RADICCHIO once I had KALE on the board; even if you don’t eat these SALADGRES, you will surely recognize their names.
