El Pasoans cruising for a cause this Saturday

On Saturday, motorcycle enthusiasts will gather for the first “Concha Bike Run,” an event to support the El Paso chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The event is hosted by El Pasoan Anabel Salazar in honor of her mother, Concepcion, affectionately known as Concha, who was diagnosed with a degenerative disease.

Salazar, owner of Bowie Bakery on Socorro Road, said the bike ride will include several stops at local establishments across town, such as Rosa’s Cantina, 3rd Tavern and The Dusty Tap, all of which will provide fundraising opportunities for the cause. .
