British Columbia man faces 36 charges of breaking and entering, forgery, fleeing police and trespassing

The charges against Brad Parisian relate to alleged events that occurred in Vancouver, Kelowna, Surrey, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge and Richmond between July 2022 and March 2024.

A British Columbia man facing three dozen charges – including breaking and entering, fleeing police, impaired driving, forgery and theft – remains behind bars as lawyers expect pleas to be filed on November 28.

The charges against Brad Donald Parisian include allegations related to events in Vancouver, Kelowna, Surrey, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge and Richmond between July 2022 and March 2024.

He appeared briefly before Judge Eugene Jamieson in Vancouver Provincial Court on November 14.

Defense lawyer Olivia Whynot said she expected the pleas to be entered at the next court appearance.

The first accusation dates back to July 31, 2022, when a Parisian and another man allegedly broke into Pacific Summit College in Abbotsford and committed a theft.

It is alleged that on August 12, 2022, the Parisian broke into a construction site on Oak Street in Vancouver and committed theft.

On August 17, 2022, a Parisian allegedly broke into a fashion business on Glen Drive in Vancouver with the intention of committing theft. It is also alleged that day that Parisian broke into an outdoor parking lot at Vancouver’s Terminal Avenue Home Depot and committed a theft.

In connection with the August 23, 2022, a Parisian allegedly broke into a Richmond apartment building on Landsdowne Road.

The next day, Parisien and two others allegedly broke into a construction site in Surrey and committed a theft.

And the next day, there is an allegation that a Parisian broke into a residence on Barclay Street in Vancouver and committed a theft.

Also on August 25, 2022, Parisien allegedly stole mail after its delivery but before it was in the recipient’s possession. Additionally, there is an allegation that Parisien was in possession of stolen mail or documents obtained in the course of a criminal offense.

On October 22, 2022, a Parisian and another man allegedly broke into a transport company in Surrey and committed theft.

The charges laid on January 3, 2024 relate to motor vehicle incidents in Surrey.

It is alleged Parisien failed to stop for police, drove dangerously and used an allegedly falsified Alberta driver’s license. There are also two counts of failing to comply with a release order due to a driver’s license not in one’s own name. There is also a charge of impaired driving for that day.

On March 24, 2024, Parisian is charged with violating release orders in Maple Ridge by failing to reside in and leave a drug treatment center, failing to comply with an electronic monitoring agreement and failing to not report to a supervisor as directed by the court.

In connection with the alleged events that occurred a week later, the Parisian is accused of breaking into a Kelowna courier business to commit theft.

He was also charged March 31 with possession of a stolen truck. In addition, he is accused of failing to stop while being pursued by the police, of obstructing a police officer, of having identity documents other than his own and of being seated at the wheel of a a vehicle, allegedly in violation of a court order.
