System requirements are surprisingly light, unless you enable ray tracing

What are the system requirements? Although this game is due for release in a few months, Avowed is up for pre-order now, along with the PC specs you’ll need to play it. We’re happy to report that you won’t need an absolute monster of a PC to play it, unless you want to enable ray tracing.

Now that the Release date announced has been revealed, the game is preparing to launch. There is no sophisticated table of system requirements for Declaredwhich details the recommended PC versions for each preset. Instead, this is a classic bulleted list, and you’ll need a decent last-gen GPU to run it at the recommended settings.

Here are the system requirements:

Minimum Recommended
Operating system Windows 10 64-bit with updates Windows 10 64-bit with updates
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Intel Core i5 8400
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Intel Core i7 10700K
Memory 16 GB of RAM 16 GB of RAM
Chart AMD Radeon RX 5700
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070
Intel Arc A580
AMD Radeon RX 6800XT
NVIDIA RTX 3080
DirectX Version 12 Version 12
Storage 75 GB (SSD required) 75 GB (SSD required)

THE Minimum stated requirements are not ridiculously high. Still in the mix is the good old Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070, which is a nearly decade-old GPU based on Nvidia’s Pascal architecture. You’ll also only need a Core i5 or Ryzen 5 processor from a few years ago to cope with gaming, with an AMD Ryzen 5 2700 or Intel Core i5 8400 specified.

We hope that the minimum requirements will allow you to play Avowed at 1080p with a frame rate of 30fps, with the recommended value being 1080p 60fps (or higher resolution). Even the budget-friendly Intel Arc 580 is included in the minimum specifications.

Meanwhile, the Recommended requirements stated seriously their game, with an AMD Radeon RX 6800 and Nvidia a few years ago, so it looks like Avowed needs a robust last-gen GPU to enable ray tracing, even though I don’t need a current-gen graphics card. .

Finally, the Allowed download size is 75 GBand even though it pains us to say it, it’s not that bad. However, Xbox Wire clarifies that you’ll need an SSD for this game. This is now expected, as solid-state storage allows games to load all that data much faster than a mechanical hard drive. It doesn’t say whether it should be an NVMe drive or not, but that’s a safer bet to take. the best gaming SSD that you can afford.

We also have no real indication of how the game will ultimately perform on the Steam Deck, or on the other handheld roster until it lands properly. We think it will run respectably at a low preset and 1280 x 800. However, there’s no indication if Avowed will support AMD FSR just yet, although the game does support Nvidia DLSS 3.
