“We urge your administration and transition team to use your political influence to demand an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon and Palestine,” read a letter to Trump published by the American Chamber of Commerce MENA ( Middle East and North Africa). “This is consistent with your commitment to lasting peace.”

Trump made outreach to Michigan’s Muslim community a priority during his successful campaign, winning the support of several community leaders in the Dearborn and metro Detroit areas.
