Cavs stay perfect with 128-114 win over Hornets

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The Cavaliers extend their perfect start with a 128-114 win over the Hornets.

The Cavs are just the fourth NBA team in history to start the season 15-0.

With Donovan Mitchell taking the day off, Ty Jerome got his first start as a Cavalier and made the most of it.

Jerome went 4-7 from deep and shot 9-15 from the field for 24 points, which was second-most on the team.

Before the game, Kenny Atkinson of the Cavs said that Jerome earned a starting spot thanks to his quality play on both ends of the court, and that he had full confidence in him as a ball handler on Sunday night.

Four of the Cavs’ starters finished with 20 or more points, led by Darius Garland with 25.

Isaac Okoro played 14 minutes but left with an ankle injury. Dean Wade also sprained his ankle and did not return to the game after 15 minutes of play.

The Cavs next play in Boston on Tuesday, November 19.
