Families urged to follow visa rules – FBC News

Minister for Employment, Agni Deo Singh

As 106 spouses and their families prepare to join their partners in Australia under the Family Accompaniment Pilot Program, Employment Minister Agni Deo Singh has clearly warned participants to strictly adhere to visa conditions.

Speaking at the pre-departure briefing today, Singh highlighted the importance of complying with the rules of the PALM Stream temporary work visa, which workers and their families will hold during their stay in Australia.

Singh warned participants that while the program offers significant benefits, it comes with responsibilities.

“Please do not violate the conditions of your visa. Because you are our first group and this is a pilot program. If it succeeds, if you can make it a success, then there will be others who can follow you. If it is a failure, it cannot be stopped because it is a test. So a lot of things are in your hands.

Singh also highlighted the main objectives of the program, including the importance of family unity, cultural integration and respect for the Australian community and the laws governing work and residence in the country.

He emphasizes that the integrity of the program depends largely on the actions of the original participants.
