Strong wind, rain around Tuesday – risk of snow to follow

NWS alerts in effect HERE.

A strong Central Plains system moves northeast toward Upper Michigan and the Great Lakes region Monday evening, spreading rain and strong winds to the region. Rainfall amounts can reach 1″ and southeast winds can gust over 50 mph in areas near the coastline.

Snow Wednesday night into Thursday morning may total 3″ or more in high terrain to the west like the Hurons.
