RFK Confirms Third Car for Preece in 2025 NASCAR Cup Series

RFK Racing will expand to three NASCAR Cup Series entries beginning in 2025 with the addition of Ryan Preece and sponsorship from Kroger.

Preece will drive the No. 60 Ford Mustang alongside Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher. Throughout the season, 20 brands from the Kroger sponsorship family will appear on all three cars.

“We are excited to officially and publicly announce our expansion plans and the next step in our evolution at RFK,” said RFK Racing President Steve Newmark. “First, we would like to thank Kroger and the vision of Tad and Jodi (Geschickter), without whom we would not be able to grow with a third car in 2025 and beyond. Their commitment to us on behalf of Kroger has not only allowed us to achieve our growth goals in the way we have long desired, but also to continue to push the boundaries when it comes to finding the competitive advantage needed to compete at the highest level of NASCAR. .

“Second, Ryan Preece is who we identified from day one when discussing this third entry, and his young talent from the grassroots level all the way to the Cup Series is something we are excited about for the future. On behalf of all “The RFK team, we look forward to rolling out the #60 with Ryan Preece and our broader Kroger partnership encompassing our three Ford Mustangs in 2025.”

Preece joins the organization from Stewart-Haas Racing, which closed its doors. In two seasons driving for Gene Haas and Tony Stewart, Preece finished in the top 10 seven times. He has 187 career Cup Series starts. The 2025 season will be his sixth full season.

Kroger, meanwhile, is leaving JTG Daugherty Racing for RFK Racing. He began his NASCAR sponsorship with the organization in 2010.

“Kroger’s relationship with JTG Daugherty Racing and, more recently, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., has been truly special,” said Brent Cox, Kroger’s director of health and baby care. “Everyone at Kroger and all of our participating sponsors wish the team and Ricky the best and thank them for everything they have done for us over the years. We are excited to continue working with Tad and Jodi Geschickter through their marketing company, BAM (Brand Activation Maximizer), as we enter this new chapter with RFK Racing. BAM will continue to represent the Kroger Racing program, and we know he is in good hands with their team.

RFK Racing last fielded three full-time commitments in 2016.
