The farmers’ revolt makes me proud to be British

My first thought upon seeing today’s farmers’ revolt was how gloriously normal it seemed. For more than a year, London has been besieged by wild-eyed leftists and angry Gen Xers who cry bloody murder about the Jewish state. Today, in sweet relief, we see men and women dressed in oilskin jackets and practical winter headgear taking to the streets, not to rage against a distant country but to defend their own country against the Labor government’s filthy taxes.
