Georgetown (Guyana), November 20 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said India will increase pharmaceutical exports to the Caribbean country and plans to set up ‘Jan Aushadhi Kendras’ there.

Addressing a press conference with Guyana’s President Irfaan Ali, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the cooperation between the two countries in the areas of defence, food security and energy security. He also said that India and Guyana agree on the need to reform global institutions.

“We have identified several new initiatives to strengthen our relationship… India has made a significant contribution to skills development and capacity building in Guyana… We contributed to food security by supplying millet last year… We will help also to the cultivation of other crops…The MoU on Agriculture signed today will strengthen our efforts…We will also work towards opening Jan Aushadhi Kendras in Guyana,” he added.
