Police Scotland said three men were arrested on Wednesday and a bus station was evacuated after navy bomb disposal experts were called in to examine a “potentially suspicious object”.

Buchanan bus station, located in the center of Glasgow, Scotland’s second largest city, was closed at around 1 p.m. (1 p.m. GMT), police said.

The bomb services were still “on site and investigations are still ongoing”, they added on Wednesday evening.

Large cordons were put in place, with streets around the bus station closed, and the public was advised to avoid the area.
