Selena Gomez feels “really proud” of her success.

When asked about her billionaire status, Selena told The Hollywood Reporter: “I don’t really pay attention to it.

Selena founded cosmetics company Rare Beauty in 2020, and the company has helped raise money for mental health initiatives and education.

The brunette beauty explained: “Everything I did before Rare Beauty had an element of giving back.

“So when I was working with some of the biggest brands, they were all willing to do something, and I was also willing to say I would take it out of my salary. And then when I met with the last team that we were hiring for Rare Beauty – which at the time there were maybe five of us total – I said, “I want there to be a percentage or something; I need you to help me understand.” That’s when we created the Impact Fund, which started before we even sold a single product.”

When asked what she thought of Rare Beauty’s success, Selena – who has been open about her own mental health struggles – replied: “There’s a real need for people to have something accessible, inclusive, something that isn’t complicated. That’s what I hear about the most, then blushing, of course.
