Nine Ridgewood students earn degrees in artificial intelligence


Credential is a collaboration between Intel and educational institutions

WEST LAFAYETTE – Ridgewood High School announced that nine students have earned the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Readiness Certificate, an industry-recognized certification demonstrating advanced digital skills and readiness for the future of AI technologies .

This achievement places them among just 50 Ohio students to earn the certification, which is also officially recognized by Intel for its rigorous standards in digital readiness and innovation.

These students join an exclusive group of high school students from across Ohio who are demonstrating their commitment to mastering the technologies that will shape the future. Their accomplishments reflect Ridgewood High School’s dedication to preparing students for the careers of tomorrow, a news release states.

Ridgewood students graduating include Logan Sesser, Carter Kelley, Hart Newell, Gabe Lamneck, Cohen Parsons, Aiden Sparger, Grant Lahmers, Dylan Burt and Taven Dotson.

The AI ​​Readiness Credential is awarded to students who complete a program focused on developing fundamental skills in artificial intelligence, data science, and related digital technologies. This program equips students with the knowledge needed to succeed in an evolving technology landscape, and the degree means these students are prepared to contribute to the growing fields of AI and digital innovation.

“We are incredibly proud of our students for achieving this recognition,” Superintendent Mike Masloski said in a news release. “This achievement not only reflects their hard work and dedication, but also highlights Ridgewood’s commitment to providing our students with the cutting-edge skills they need to thrive in the future job market.”
