DKMS strike campaign at FC Bayern World

Together with the German Bone Marrow Donor Center (DKMS), the FC Bayern women’s team already raised awareness about stem cell donation during a typing campaign last week. Now on Saturday, November 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CET at FC Bayern World (Weinstraße 7, Munich), you will once again have the opportunity to register free of charge as a potential stem cell donor.

Lena Oberdorf summarizes the relevance of the initiative: “In football we often talk about great opponents. But off the field, many people face a much greater challenge in the fight against blood cancer. This is why it is important for me to be registered with the DKMS as a potential stem cell donor,” said the 22-year-old.

Linda Dallmanwho attaches particular importance to the work of the DKMS, shares the same opinion: “The more donors who register with the DKMS, the greater the chances of saving lives. For us, it is a matter of honor to support the fight against leukemia and we hope that many people will join us.”

FC Bayern has been involved in the fight against cancer for a long time. The club recently participated in numerous activities to mark the 50th anniversary of the Deutsche Krebshilfe (German Cancer Foundation), including a special quiz with FCB partner Allianz to raise awareness of this important issue.

Several Bayern Women players have already volunteered for a blood test:
