Mavericks vs Hawks Prediction, Odds, Best Bets on NBA Props for Monday, November 25

The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a tough overtime loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday when they play the second straight night against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.

This is a tough turnaround, and it’s possible the Mavs end up sitting some players after playing some major minutes in the overtime loss.

Luka Doncic (wrist) is still out of the Mavs’ lineup, but they beat the Denver Nuggets — in Denver — in an NBA Cup game Friday night without him.

Can Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson — if they play — and the Mavs defeat a rebuilding Atlanta team tonight?

Oddsmakers have the Hawks as favorites in this one, a sign they could expect Dallas to rest some players tonight.

The Hawks didn’t play this weekend, but they lost to the Chicago Bulls by 14 on Friday in an NBA Cup game.

Here’s a look at the odds, players to bet on in the prop market, and my prediction for Monday’s contest.

Dallas Mavericks Prop Bets

Since returning from injury, PJ Washington has been a monster on the glass, grabbing 10 or more rebounds in three of his last four games. He pushed his season average to 8.7 rebounds per game, and he now faces an Atlanta team that ranks just 23rd in the NBA in opponent rebounds per game.

Atlanta plays at the second pace in the league, so there should be plenty of possessions for Washington to rack up the cards on Monday.

Atlanta Hawks Prop Bets

Hawks forward Jalen Johnson has become a triple-double threat at times this season, and he’s rebounding really well, averaging 10.4 per game. On top of that, Johnson is averaging 5.3 assists per game, but he only had 13.5 rebounds and assists on Monday against Dallas.

Johnson has managed 13.5 R+A in 11 of his 16 games this season and four of his last five. During this five-game stretch, he averaged 11.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game.

Johnson could increase that number on rebounds alone — he has five games with 13 or more rebounds — making him an ideal target against a Dallas team playing on the second night of a back-to-back.

This is a tough game to bet on until Dallas releases its official injury report, but there is one trend that has been the money in Atlanta’s games this season.

The Hawks are 12-5 against the OVER in their 17 games, and they have also reached the OVER in six of their eight games in Atlanta.

I expect this to be a fast-paced game (Atlanta is #2 in the league in pace) and the Mavericks shouldn’t have much trouble scoring against a defense that allows over 120 points per game ( 28th in the NBA) and ranks 22nd in the league in defensive rating.

Atlanta is favored in this one, so if they end up winning, they’ll likely win a track and field meet.

I’ll bet OVER with the Dallas rotation in the air tonight.

Choice: OVER 237.5 (-110)
