NFL to rewatch George Pickens’ postgame fight with Cleveland Browns DB

NFL set to review Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver’s postgame fight George Pickens and Cleveland Browns cornerback Greg Newsome, according to Mary Kay Cabot from Cleveland.com. This could result in fines for Pickens and Newsome, although a suspension resulting from the incident is not expected, sources told PennLive.

During the final hail of the game, Pickens and Newsome fought on the field. Camera angles then show Pickens grabbing Newsome by the facemask and dragging him toward the retaining wall in the back of the end zone. From there, Newsome and Pickens began to fight, with potential punches being thrown against the retaining wall. Pickens and Newsome were separated by security.

After the game, Newsome called Pickens ‘fake tough.’ Pickens lashed out at the Browns, saying they were saved by conditions and were not “a good team at all.”

“As I said, the conditions played a huge role in this match. I don’t really think the Cleveland Browns are a great team. The conditions kind of saved them today,” Pickens said.

The Steelers and Browns face off on December 8 at Acrisure Stadium. The actions taken by Newsome and Pickens make this one a circle game.
