A Christmas wedding is planned for a Hollyoaks couple as Darren Osborne remains missing and Leela Dexter struggles to hide her secret from husband Joel Dexter.

Hollyoaks fans can expect plenty of drama next week as Darren Osborne’s (Ashley Taylor Dawson) missing business cards are found in the woods. In upcoming scenes from the Channel 4 soap, worried Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) and Jack Osborne (Jimmy McKenna) have set up a search team, but Leela Dexter (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) tries to stop helping search Darren.

In the woods, Leela runs away, telling Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) and Peri to leave her alone. In The Dog, Frankie demands that people tell her the truth and stop trying to protect her. Later in the week, Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) confronts Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham) after his confession that he had something to do with Darren’s disappearance.

Also, Joel tells Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) about Leela’s panic attack in the woods, the McQueen rushes in telling Joel she is going to see Leela, leaving him to lock up Casa McQueen.

It’s Maria’s baptism day and with chemotherapy starting tomorrow, Mercedes is determined to make the day special. She enjoys the quiet of the church before the guests arrive and thanks Grace Black (Tamara Wall) for all her help planning the day ahead.

After Leela lashes out at Joel, he tells Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) that he thinks he knows what’s going on with his wife. Reunited at church with Leela, Joel still wants answers, Leela tells him she can’t give them yet.

Fearing the effects of chemotherapy on her, Mercedes distributes her Christmas presents. Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham) is surprised by a thoughtful gift. Everyone comes together to support Mercedes as she embarks on chemotherapy treatment.

In emotional scenes, Mercedes tells Grace she couldn’t cope with treatment without her, with Grace fighting back tears. Freddie arrives at the hospital to take over from Grace.

Elsewhere, Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) takes baby Clara to visit Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) who asks if things are awkward between him and Peri, believing they broke up while Abe continues to lie. Abe later suggests to Peri that they get married in two weeks, for Christmas. Full steam ahead, Peri books into a wedding dress store later that day.

Hollyoaks airs Monday to Wednesday on E4 at 7pm and the first episodes can be seen on Channel 4 from 7am.
