Cellulose fiber conference to examine biosynthetics and other sustainable technologies

Cellulose Fiber Conference 2025, Sustainable Fiber Technologies, BiosyntheticsHurth, Germany – The 2025 Cellulose Fiber Conference released its preliminary programwhich addresses a number of burning questions in the evolution of more sustainable products.

The conference will focus on cellulose fibers in textiles, hygiene products and packaging on March 12-13 at the Maternushaus in Cologne, Germany. The 2024 gathering attracted 214 participants from 23 countries.

Among the topics that will be covered:

“Biosynthetics – Replacing Traditional Synthetic Fibers” will explore the latest advances, challenges and opportunities in the field.

“Fibre-to-Fiber Recycling: A Path to a Sustainable Textile Industry” will examine the latest innovations and technological advances, as well as the opportunities and obstacles that need to be overcome to move the industry towards a circular and sustainable future.

“Fiber Microplastic Formation versus Marine Biodegradability” will provide insight into innovative solutions that could help mitigate the impact of synthetic fibers in marine ecosystems.

Additionally, sessions will address new technologies and applications for cellulosic fibers; technologies specific to pulps, fibers and yarns; supply chain innovation; and strategies for changing market conditions.
