The petition, started by pub owner Michael Westwood, has attracted considerable attention from the media and even figures like Elon Musk I reposted it on X.

David reacted online, saying: “I notice that because Michael Caine expressed support for this shitty petition, people here started saying he was an asshole actor. These things don’t follow. He It is possible not to think of people in immovable and heavy blocks of good and evil.

With more than 100,000 signatures, the petition is now eligible for parliamentary debate and reflects growing public discontent with the current Labor government and Sir Keir Starmer.

A second person also said: “I love Michael Caine as an actor; Get Carter is one of my favorite movies and he is brilliant in it. I disagree with him vehemently on politics. He bases his policy on tax evasion but in a service-based economy like ours, he cannot generate money otherwise.

A third also said: “He’s a lovely man. I met him by chance in a supermarket in London. He shook my hand and wished me a Merry Christmas. The cashier said I would ‘Oh, he’s adorable, here all the time! You should meet his Missus – she’s even nicer!’

A fourth also chimed in: “Absolutely! Michael Caine supported Brexit (to me a very stupid idea), but he’s still one of the best actors I can think of. He is also a very interesting human being, as his life story suggests.”

Michael openly supported the petition on social media and posted a link to his X account, which he typed next to it: “Call a General Election – Petitions”.
