Bruins extend offer to four-star 2026 edge rusher

The UCLA Bruins have handed out more offers now that their Big Ten schedule is over and are eliminated from bowl eligibility following their loss to USC last weekend. The next offer was extended to 2026 four-star edge rusher Derek Colman-Brusa of Burien, Washington.

The prospect announced the offer on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Colman-Brusa is currently a junior at Kennedy Catholic High School and is the No. 1 prospect in the state of Washington and No. 12 overall in the country. He has received national recognition from many of the top programs in the country.

The four-star received 16 offers from schools such as Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, USC, Washington and the Bruins are the latest to join the conversation.

National recruiting analyst Greg Biggins of 247Sports rated Williams’ projections with an extra year of high school before having to make an official decision on where he will play college ball. Biggins gave some insight into what makes him one of the best in his state.

“(Colman-Brusa) has a chance to be the best player in the Northwest region for the 26 class,” Biggins wrote. “Very productive sophomore season with 75 tackles, 19 for loss and 14 sacks. Experience wrestling and finished 5th in the state in the 215 pound weight division. The tape is showing and he shows natural running ability against passes. Can play point and inside and wins with speed at the line – either with a shot off the rim or a little movement from the outside to the inside. Super strong hands, can bother. opposing linemen, changes direction and has some flexibility compared to him just a straight line guy, but shows balance and power and closes out very well on the football, a naturally strong kid with. a crazy High Major Power 4 engine and an NFL advantage.

Biggins and two others predict Colman-Brusa will commit to the Washington Huskies because it would be an easy in-state transition. However, Los Angeles is not extremely far from home and could be a great fit for Southern California.

If Colman-Brusa committed to the Bruins, they would receive one of the best athletes in the country and, in a few years, become one of the best passers not only in the Big Ten, but in all of college. soccer.
