“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin claimed that President-elect Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign did not address the high price of eggs during the day’s final episode. ABC talk show.

While expressing frustration that voters are prioritizing kitchen table issues over Trump’s alleged threat to democracy, Hostin said Trump hasn’t even talked about core economic issues — like the price of eggs – during his campaign.

Despite Hostin’s allegations, Trump repeatedly spoke about the high cost of eggs during his campaign. He shared a infographic at Truth Social in September, showing how various basic grocery items were more expensive under the Biden administration than under Trump.

In addition to showing that milk prices increased as well as ham and chicken prices, Trump’s chart highlighted that the price of a crate of eggs increased by $2 compared to his administration.

During a campaign stop at a Pennsylvania grocery store that same month, then-vice presidential candidate J.D. During the episode, Hostin alleged that instead of talking about eggs and other economic issues, Trump made insane speeches and engaged in goofy antics on the campaign trail.

Hostin’s complaint came as he discussed special counsel Jack Smith dismissing federal charges against Trump in his case in Washington, D.C., regarding the president-elect’s alleged interference in the 2020 election.

The co-host argued that the dismissal of the case dashed the hopes of groups of voters like black women voters who saw democracy as a primary issue.

She added: “But when the exit polls were taken, the 92% of black women who voted for the vice president said their number one issue was January 6 and the fall of democracy. It was very, very important to them.”
