Terry Bradshaw and Michael Strahan disagree on Patrick Mahomes | NFL | Sport

Fox NFL Sunday co-hosts Michael Strahan and Terry Bradshaw disagree over the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes’ chances of securing a historic Super Bowl three-peat.

The Chiefs pulled off another breathtaking victory in a season filled with close finishes, edging the Carolina Panthers 30-27 thanks to a last-second field goal, with star quarterback Mahomes once again making heroic exploits at the end of the match.

The win marks Kansas City’s fifth triumph and eighth one-score triumph this year, tying the NFL record for most by a team in the first 11 games of a season. Reflecting on this difficult situation, Bradshaw expressed his amazement at the close score.

“I was shocked by that score,” he said. “Caroline, since they brought back Bryce Young…initially, he played outstanding. He was outstanding today against Kansas City. They tied that game at 27, but again, with three touchdown passes, you knew Mahomes was going to bring them back, and that’s exactly what he did.”

Despite losing to the Panthers 3-8, Bradshaw is confident about the Chiefs’ chances at Super Bowl LIX, presenting Kansas City as a serious contender.

“How long will they keep doing this and winning (like) this, and is it finally going to let them down when it matters most? I doubt it. I just don’t think it’s going to happen .This football team knows how to win,” he proclaimed.

Strahan, the New York Giants legend, responded with a word of warning about the potential long-term impact of Mahomes’ continued close wins and “hero ball.” “We can know how to win, but we cannot continue to grind away week after week. I think that tires the players,” he stressed.

Bradshaw acknowledged the risk of underestimating opponents, particularly before the Panthers game. “But when you play Carolina, you can’t tell me Kansas City didn’t look at Carolina on the schedule and say, ‘Mhm, really Carolina?'” he commented.

Strahan, however, hit back again, observing a worrying trend in the Chiefs’ recent performance: “But they looked at every team like that, they made every team cringe that way.”

Despite their enviable 10-1 record, Mahomes expressed his desire for more emphatic victories. “You want to have blowouts,” he conceded after Sunday’s close game.

“You want to be a little calmer in the fourth quarter. I’ve always said that can be a good thing when you get to the playoffs and later in the season, just knowing that you’ve been through those moments before and knowing how to kind of attack him But I would love to win a game (before) the very last play.”
