Dr Singh took to Instagram to share a anti-aging and anti-pigmentation routine for anyone over 30. She suggested a morning and night routine and promised that if one followed their routine diligently for six months, they would see the transformation in their skin.

A Simple, Multi-Step Skincare Routine for People Over 30

In the clip titled “Let me build you an anti-aging solution and anti-pigmentation routine,” Dr. Singh has created a simple, multi-step skincare routine for anyone age 30 or older. For morning skincare routine, she suggested starting the day with a gentle cleanser and adding a vitamin C serum or an antioxidant serum in the next step. Then, complete with a peptide serum, moisturizer and sunscreen. Dr Singh emphasized the need to reapply sunscreen every three to four hours, even during the winter season.

For nighttime routine, she advised people to always double cleanse to ensure their face is “squeaky clean.” “Follow it with something as hydrating as a hyaluronic acid if you have dry skin or niacinamide if you have oily skin,” she said. Then follow with a peptideserum based.

“As a next step, use whatever anti-pigmentation cream or ointment your dermatologist gives you. Otherwise, you can choose either azelaic acid or kojic acid,” suggested Dr. Singh. “And finally, apply a very good moisturizer, essentially rich in ceramides. When you’ve done that, alternatively, about three or two times a week, replace that kojic or azelaic acid with retinoids,” she added.

Why having a good skincare routine is important

According to Dr. Singh, starting in your 30s, your skin slows down, leading to a decline in collagen, slower cell turnover, dehydration and environmental damage. However, having a healthy skincare routine can change everything.

  • Slower cell turnover: causes dull, uneven texture.
  • Dehydration: A lower barrier means hydration escapes more quickly.

Dr. Singh also wrote down some pro tips to follow when starting the routine. She suggested: “Start retinoids slowly to avoid irritation, adjust actives to your skin’s needs, and NEVER skip sunscreen—it’s the ultimate anti-aging hero.” » She added: “Skincare isn’t just about looking good; it’s about protecting, nourishing and healing your skin.
