Real Madrid and Liverpool reportedly held talks over Trent Alexander-Arnold today

Representatives from Liverpool and Real Madrid will have lunch today to discuss a possible transfer of Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to Marca.

The negotiations will take place just hours before the European giants collide at Anfield, UEFA Champions League.

The England international is out of contract at the end of the season, but Los Blancos could make a move on the England international during the January transfer window.

Real Madrid are said to have long admired Alexander-Arnold and he is the club’s number one target.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was asked about Alexander-Arnold’s potential arrival during his pre-match press conference. However, the Italian said he was not willing to discuss the 26-year-old as he was not a Real Madrid player.
