Here are some of the best tips on last-minute Thanksgiving shopping

PHOENIX (AZFamily) —Are you one of those people who waits until Thanksgiving Day to do their shopping, or did you forget some gravy for the mashed potatoes? Thanksgiving week is one of the busiest times of the year, so here are some tips if you need to shop last minute.

Arizona’s family spoke with Ashley Shick, director of communications and public affairs for Bashas Stores.

If you need to go to Basha, all stores are open on Wednesdays at regular hours. However, on Thanksgiving Day, the store will only be open until 3 p.m., so be sure to stop by early.

“Lots of time if you’re working on things in the morning or eating early, like if you’re one of those families that eats at 1 p.m. and you burn the buns or something, lots of time for go down and grab it,” Shick said.

What if you want to avoid the crowds? According to her, the sooner the better to avoid the massive group of buyers.

“I’m thinking sooner rather than later. These are definitely the slowest and quietest times. Tomorrow morning will inevitably be a little hectic and crazy. But even when we were here, we saw a lot of people going through these self-checkouts and getting a random mix of things,” she explained. “But it’s definitely early morning or late evening that will be the quietest times.”
