Heroes rewarded for saving woman trapped in burning house in Medina

CLEVELAND — Police and firefighters from the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, Medina Fire, Chatham Fire and Cleveland Fire Department received heroism awards Wednesday after rescuing a woman who was trapped in the basement of a house fire last month.

On October 24, a 31-year-old woman was dramatically rescued after police and firefighters responded to a burning house in York Township, Medina County.

An awards ceremony was held at York Township Hall in Medina for those who played a role in saving the 31-year-old woman.
