For the fourth time in a row, the University of Nottingham has ranked among the best in the UK for graduate employment.

Good news for UoN students as the university maintains its reputation as a leader in higher careers

For the fourth year running, the University of Nottingham has had more graduates than any other UK university accessing high-skilled employment.

This is according to graduate outcomes data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), which ranks UK full-time graduates from 2018/19 to 2021/22. Nottingham leads the way in securing university-level jobs, which also tend to offer higher starting salaries – the future looks bright.

Recently, Longitudinal Education Outcomes (LEO) data also showed that 91.9 percent of graduates continue their studies or are in sustainable employment three and five years after graduation.

This data also revealed that UON graduates had the second highest salary among Russell Group universities one year after graduating, excluding London and Oxbridge, at £27,000 .

The university is very pleased with this continued success, with Pauline Maden, Director of Careers and Employability, adage: “We are very proud of the results obtained by our former students. Their success in gaining access to highly skilled employment is a testament to their knowledge and abilities, as well as the exceptional academic and extracurricular support they receive while at university.

It was found that in the East Midlands, at age 31, graduates earn on average 37 per cent more than non-graduates, including 96 per cent more in accommodation and food services, 34 per cent more in more in entertainment, arts and recreation and 33 percent in accommodation and food services. wholesale and retail trade.

The government has defined certain industries that will drive the future and economic growth, and these all rely heavily on the skills of graduates. These are the life sciences sector (73 percent), the creative sector (76 percent) and professional and business services (74 percent). This means graduates across the country will continue to earn more and drive the UK’s growth.

The university also placed second in the Rate My Placement rankings. Best Universities for Work Experience in 2024 in Russell groups and third most targeted overall in the graduate market, in a High Fliers 2024 report.
