ASTANA, November 28. /TASS/. Member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) have spoken out against the use of double standards in the fight against terrorism, according to the Statement of the CSTO Collective Security Council published on the website Kremlin Internet.

“We emphasize that in the fight against terrorism, there is no room for double standards. Terrorism, whatever its form, cannot be justified. Supporting or harboring terrorists must be strongly condemned by the entire international community,” the document reads.

The CSTO countries also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening and intensifying collective efforts to combat international terrorism, extremism, illicit trafficking in narcotics, psychotropic substances and their precursors, illegal arms trafficking , illegal migration, as well as to protect the population against natural and man-made risks. disasters.

The declaration recognizes the importance of regularly conducting special operations in the CSTO’s area of ​​responsibility to combat illicit drug trafficking (Operation “Channel”), illegal migration (Operation “Illegal”), computer crimes ( Operation “Proxy”) and anti-terrorist operation (Operation “Mercenary”), which have proven to be very effective over the years.
