Cloudy, cool and cold for Thanksgiving

CENTRAL TEXAS — Highs will climb into the mid 50s this afternoon with steady north winds and stubborn cloud cover. Freezing is possible overnight.

THE BREAKDOWN:

  • Cool and cold conditions for Thanksgiving.
  • Light freezes possible tonight and Friday night-Saturday morning.
  • Small chance of rain next week.

Thanks to last night’s cold front, Thanksgiving will be cold with high temperatures in the 50s and north winds around 15 to 20 mph. Once the winds die down overnight we will see a light frost set in. Expect another cool Friday with lighter winds, then another possible frost Saturday night. Saturday will be beautiful with highs in the 60s! For the Texas-Texas A&M game in College Station, temperatures during the game will be in the upper 50s. (BTHOyou by the way)
Next week there are signs of moisture coming from the Gulf of Mexico, combined with a cold front. This should lead to some of the best rain chances we’ve had in some time. Stay tuned!

Have a great Thanksgiving!
