One of the great benefits of continued AI development is convenience, and ElevenLabs offers a host of new features for anyone pressed for time.

THE ElevenLabs Reader app I just received a new update that can convert PDFs, books, and even long emails into a conversational podcast format. This is similar to Google’s NotebookLM but with more control over the source material.

It won’t be for everyone, and the example below is a little cheesy for my tastes (do we really need a podcast analysis of fairy tales?), but it could be a great way to eliminate your reading delay.

Now is a good time to try it out as best you can. one month for just $1 or two months free if you purchase the annual subscription during the ElevenLabs Black Friday sale. This allows you to go beyond just the Reader app. With a subscription, you can clone your own voice or create a radio show with sound effects, all from a simple text prompt.

Create your own audiobooks with ElevenLabs

According to the latest article from ElevenLabsyou can pull content from anywhere to “generate a podcast that’s uniquely suited to you.”

This is done by offering two AI “co-hosts” built from the company’s AI audio models in 32 languages.

For now, the feature is only available on iOS, but ElevenLabs plans Android support “in the coming weeks.”

The idea of going through a lengthy contract as if it were a digestible discussion is certainly one that appeals to me in my work, but adding news pages to catch you up while you’re out for a walk also seems be a great idea.

You can create your own weekly podcast based on a selection of news stories. Go from a discussion about a new SpaceX launch to the latest political news in seconds.
