President Akufo-Addo today, Friday, November 29, 2024, commissioned the newly completed Phase II of the Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange.

The President said the project was one of several projects launched under his administration to upgrade infrastructure and address persistent traffic congestion problems in Accra.

He said the project aims to boost the country’s development and stimulate economic growth.

President Akufo-Addo speaking When the interchange was commissioned, it was stated that it would improve urban mobility and facilitate efficient transport along one of the capital’s busiest routes.

Akufo-Addo said there was still current projects carried out nationally with the aim of improving the country’s transport networks and strengthening urban development.

He further urged residents to support the maintenance and preservation of infrastructure to ensure its benefits are long-lasting and support sustainable urban development.

He thanked the various stakeholders who worked together to bring the project to fruition, including government agencies, contractors and the local community.

THE Greater Accra The regional minister, Daniel Titus Glover, warned the general public against the deterioration of the building.

He said unauthorized structuresincluding kiosks, mechanic workshops, etc. should not be erected nearby.

He said anyone caught detracting from the beauty and functionality of the project would be taken seriously.

Akufo-Addo commissions flower pot exchanger

YEN.com.gh reported that President Nana Akufo-Addo recently ordered the Flower pot exchange In Accra.

The initiative aims to help alleviate traffic congestion on the northern and southern corridors of the Tema Expressway.

The project, designed to strengthen connectivity and improve travel times for commuters, took seven years to complete before it opened on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
