Online application for property tax freeze for seniors cannot be completed if property is in trust – St. Louis Call Newspapers

To the editor:

The online Senior Property Tax Freeze application does not allow uploading trust documents if the property is in a trust. And if the property is in a trust, you must also provide copies of trust documents proving the applicant is a trustee or beneficiary of the property. Therefore, you cannot complete your application online if your property is in trust.

I sent St. Louis County Council members an email regarding this issue on October 6, 2024 to inform them of this issue and requested that the issue be rectified so residents could submit their applications in line.

Unfortunately, as of today, the issue has not been resolved and I have not received any assistance in resolving this issue regarding my application.

Therefore, I am calling on the St. Louis County Council to resolve this issue for the benefit of the residents of St. Louis County.

If any of the readers encounter a similar problem, I invite you to contact your St. Louis County Council member and request that the problem be corrected.
