The struggle for the rights of the Palestinian people was one of the main inspirations behind the July uprising, Nahid Islam, advisor to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Technology, said today (December 1). of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. .

“Palestine occupies a special place in the emotions of Bangladesh. Bangladesh has always supported Palestine in its struggle for independence. Therefore, on November 29, 2023, we launched activities through the platform “March for Palestine'”, he said when Palestinian Ambassador to Bangladesh Bangladesh Yousef SY Ramadan visited the office of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications today.

The advisor said that Palestine is a point of national unity and Bangladesh has always supported the oppressed and persecuted people of Palestine.

Speaking to the advisor, Yousef SY Ramadan said, “Your arrival comes at a time when the people of Bangladesh had almost given up hope. Everyone is looking towards you. The people of the country want to trust you.”

He expressed his gratitude to the people of Bangladesh, saying that despite the geographical distance, Bangladesh is more vocal about the rights of the Palestinian people than many other Muslim countries.

Nahid Islam reaffirmed Bangladesh’s unwavering support for the Palestinian state and its people. He expressed hope that Palestine would one day obtain the independent state it aspires to.

The ambassador said: “We sincerely wish the current interim government success, because if this government succeeds, the Palestinian people will be stronger. We want the interim government to succeed in realizing the dreams of its people.”

The ambassador also invited the advisor to meet the members of the OIC committee.

During the meeting, Posts and Telecommunications Division Secretary Mohammad Mushfiqur Rahman and senior officials of the ministry were present.
