Texans beat Jaguars on the road, 23-20

After a low-scoring first half, the Houston Texans beat the Jacksonville Jaguars with second-half touchdown runs from Joe Mixon and Dalton Schultz and came away with a 23-20 victory.

The return of Trevor Lawrence was not enough to galvanize the Jacksonville offense, and the quarterback was unable to finish the game, going 4 of 10 with an interception before giving way to Mac Jones.

Texans quarterback CJ Stroud threw for 242 yards and a touchdown in the victory.

First trimester

On a 56-degree day in Jacksonville, the visitors started first. Five plays later, the Jaguars came back at the Texans. Houston drove 33 yards before punting, and the teams repeated this back-and-forth throughout the opening period.
