Idaho Drivers Can Expect to Save

BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Idaho gas prices are now at the national average of $3.05 per gallon, according to AAA. Idaho gas is five cents cheaper than last week, 26 cents cheaper than last month and 51 cents cheaper than last year.

Fuel rewards through credit cards, grocery stores and other providers could be another way for drivers to save.

Idaho fell to 18th in the nation for most expensive gas, and 31 states have a price below $3, with Idaho possibly following in the coming days.

A look at gas prices in Idaho as of December 2, 2024:

Boise – $3.02

Coeur d’Alene – $2.94

Franklin – $2.97

Idaho Falls – $2.96

Lewiston – $3.27

Pocatello – $3.11

Rexbourg – $3.04

Twin Falls – $3.05

“We have achieved significant savings compared to last year, and this trend will likely continue as we enter a slight lull after record numbers of Thanksgiving travelers,” said Matthew Conde, director of public affairs. of AAA Idaho. “Cheaper fuel will continue to motivate family gatherings and winter recreation as the holiday season approaches.”

Crude oil is currently at $68 per barrel, about $1 lower than last week, $2 lower than last month and $6 lower than last year.
